The Bronx, New York. April 15, 2025. – Andrew Freedman Home and Bronx World Film are proud to announce the final event in the precedent-setting Bronx Frame Screening Series, a biannual celebration of independent film and storytelling which in its inaugural edition offered four nights of film over two months at the landmark mansion turned arts center on the Grand Concourse, curated by some of the borough’s leading film organizations and guest curators. For the free event on Saturday April 26th Bronx World Film offers a select marquee from recent years headlined by prominent filmmakers from The Bronx and the rest of the world.

Bronx Frame Screening Series fills a void in its home borough, where close to 1.5 million have only two multiplexes and Cinema on the Sound as dedicated film venues. This unique space for filmmakers and audiences to connect, celebrate and support the power of storytelling year-round is an essential aspect of the work at Andrew Freedman Home, testimony to the power of respect for historic memory and repurposing of spaces to meet citizen needs.

This inaugural Bronx Frame Screening Series is curated by The Bronx Filmmakers Collective (TBxF), a vibrant community of independent Bronx filmmakers dedicated to amplifying local voices; Non Films, a Brooklyn and Manhattan-based curatorial initiative showcasing underrepresented and underseen short films; Bronx Independent Cinema Center (BICC), an organization committed to expanding film culture in the Bronx with long-term goals of opening a dedicated cinema space; and Bronx World Film (BWF), The Bronx’s pioneering arthouse presenter, now in its fourteenth year. Join us for an evening of film and fellowship!
